I've just replaced the lead (dc end) with a longer wire to keep the charger in the shed and charge the cart while it's outside. It seemed like a simple wire replacement, till the charger wouldn't work after.

I used the manual to track down a bad charge controller,(it works with a jumper installed). Did I cause the controller to burn up or could it be just a coincidence? I've been using a Lester 19300, which appears to be the about the same except for the case color and labels. The control modules are expensive, so please verify the voltage on the red and black wires going into the potted module. Should be identical to the voltage measured between the main + & - terminals on battery pack.

If it isn't, there is a wiring issue. If it is, it could be the control module, but it might just be the relay board, so that needs to be checked. The part number for the control module w/relay board is 603194 and EZGO sells it for about $300. Check with the Site Sponsors, one of them probably sells it for less.
