Study Guide For Hound Dog True
I just finished reading 'Hound Dog True,' by Linda Urban. It was a great book and a quick read.I recommend it! This book is the current read for Autumn's Brown Bag Book Club at the Bayliss Library. (I posted the meeting info at the bottom of this post in case you're kiddos are interested in attending.) I decided I would help Autumn to get ready for her meeting by creating my first ever study guide/ lapbook guide for a book.
We don't know very many people who do lapbooks, and so I thought she might have fun sharing this way of studying with her book club friends. There aren't a lot of resources or study guides on the web for this book, so I uploaded what I created to Scribd (a document sharing website) and I would love for you to check it out and even use the guide and ideas within. However I do not own any of the clip-art or images in the document so please do not re-post or sell the document. You can go straight to the document by clicking on the link below! 4-18-12 While warming up a mug of water in the microwave for a cup of tea Alaina came up to me and said 'Mommy I guarantee you are making some tea!' Then she giggled and repeated herself incessantly because she was so pleased with her clever rhyme. 5-5-12 Alaina went into the bathroom while Steve was in the process of shaving and came back out quickly announcing to Autumn in a very loud and excited voice that 'Santa Claus is in the bathroom!'
And then I heard her lower her voice and in a hushed whisper she said, 'don't worry, it's really just Daddy.' As if Autumn might have really thought Santa was in the bathroom??

Oh, this just makes me giggle so much every time I think about it! 6-12-13 I overheard this conversation between Autumn and Alaina as they walked up the steps leading up to under the giant crucifix at 'The Cross in the Woods' in Indian River: Alaina: (said sincerely, with hands clasped together in prayer) 'I am saying a prayer' Autumn: 'What are you praying about?'
Hound Dog True Summary
Alaina: 'I am praying that Jesus doesn't fall on me!'
