I have a 1998 EZGO TXT. I noticed the manual said for 2001 and up. Are they pretty similar?? Thanks in advance Yes and No. It depends on which drive drive system your cart has.

If it is a Series drive, they are the same. If it is a SepEx drive, they are different. If your cart has a Run/Tow switch on the controller cover, it is a SepEX drive and before model year 2000 it would be a DCS and if it was 2000 and up, it would be a PDS. They are very different animals.

I dont see any switches. So Im guessing its a Series drive then. I printed out the service parts manual last night for 97/98 and it has a lot of nice blown up pics of how everything is put together.
